Two Underage Girls Rescued From Sex Trafficking
For many people the word family may bring a feelings of safety, belonging, and trust, but in the case of these two Mesquite, TX minors, a family member became their trafficker.
A Dallas woman was charged on October 19 with two felonies – compelling prostitution and sex trafficking of persons under the age of 18. The victims were young relatives of the perpetrator-- a teenager and a pre-teen girl.
The 11-year-old girl told police that the first incident happened when they were staying at a motel in Mesquite. She said they were forced to have sex with three men who paid them before the encounter. Several other similar crimes happened during a period of several weeks with two of the three same men. The third man in each offense was always different, the child told police.
During one of the alleged encounters, one of the men hit the 11-year-old on the head, and she lost consciousness, according to an arrest warrant affidavit. She woke up to find one of the men having sex with her, the warrant states.
After the first encounter with the three men, the perpetrator asked the girls for the money and never bothered to ask they were alright. Bond was set at $200,000.
